           America the Beautiful

Oh beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain,

For purple mountain majesties, above the fruited plain.

America! America! God shed His grace on thee,

And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.

Oh beautiful for heroes proved in liberating strife,

Who more than self their country loved and gave to us their life.

America! America! May God thy gold refine

Till all success be nobleness, and every gain divine.

Oh beautiful for pilgrim feet that led our country west,

A thoroughfare for freedom beat across the wilderness,

America! America! God mend thine every flaw.

Confirm thy soul in self-control, thy liberty in law.

Oh bless our noble melting pot for every race and creed,

Help blend our hearts in harmony till all our souls are freed.

America! America! Bring us a grand new theme,

Bless us as we work hand in hand, till we build our new dream.
